News for our 2021 Start
COVID-19
Victorians and in particular Metro Melbournians have done a fantastic job of following the directives of our State’s Chief Health Officer to bring the exposure risk of COVID-19 to an absolute minimum. This has allowed the Premier to begin to ease all the restrictions that we have found difficult and sometimes frustrating to live with.
This is the second time that we have eased our way back to some kind of normality. The experience gained from the end of our first lockdown taught us that group limitations, particularly the groups of ten limit was not favourable for our club.
At an earlier Management Committee meeting, shortly after the release of the initial Roadmap, the committee discussed the proposed planned dates. From our earlier experience and the timeline of both the Roadmap and the club’s training year, it was decided that we should continue the suspension of club activities until no earlier than 6th February 2021. As Melbourne starts to resume activities Frankston Dog Obedience Club will take the extra time during the summer to ensure that when we return we are COVID-19 safe and compliant. This will then guide us on the protocols and procedures that we have to adhere to. By February it is hoped that we will not only be training with our current membership but have the ability to take new members.
The Management Committee looks forward to our safe and COVID-Normal return in 2021. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
